Katia Aveiro decided to speak out after new rumors about supposed tension between Georgina Rodríguez and Cristiano Ronaldo's family. Speculation gained momentum after Georgina, Dolores, Katia and Elma Aveiro appeared physically apart during Portugal's game against Colombia.
On social media, Katia mocked the situation and denied that the distance in the stadium indicated any family problem.
"We've already landed here in Canada, thank God. It was a wonderful trip. I was asleep almost the entire time, and so was Valentina. Mom, are you facing away from me? Are you facing away because you didn't come close to me on the plane? They say that when we're not together, it's because our backs are turned. For those who understand, half a word is enough. But I could sit on your lap. It's all crazy," he said.
The comment was interpreted as a direct response to speculation about the relationship between Georgina and Aveiro.
Later, Adriano Silva Martins, presenter of the program “V+ Fama”, returned to the subject, as possible family tension had been commented on in the format. According to him, the relationship between Georgina and part of Cristiano Ronaldo's family would not be completely fluid.
“We know, through thick and thin, that the relationship is not that fluid,” said the presenter.
Adriano considered that relations would be better than at other times, but still far from the harmony seen at the beginning of their coexistence. For him, there is no declared war, but there is also no full family union.
"These relationships between daughters-in-law and mothers-in-law, between sisters-in-law, sometimes have their ups and downs. There is a history here. There is no war, but there is no family union", he said.
The presenter defined the coexistence as “diplomatically correct” and cited episodes that, according to him, had contributed to straining the relationship.
One of them would have occurred when Dolores Aveiro suffered a stroke. At the time, Cristiano Ronaldo would have taken his family to Madeira, but, according to Adriano, Georgina would have preferred to leave the family home after a few days and stay in another property.
"When Dolores had a stroke, Cristiano Ronaldo took the whole family to Madeira. They stayed in the family home for four days. Georgina demanded to leave her husband's own house, and they rented another house for a few days because she didn't want to be with some family members", he stated.
The presenter also mentioned an episode involving Elma Aveiro. According to him, Georgina would have been uncomfortable when Elma organized a fashion week in Madeira and invited Merche Romero, Cristiano Ronaldo's ex-girlfriend, to present the event.
"There was something that bothered Georgina Rodríguez. Elma Aveiro organized a fashion week in Madeira and invited Merche Romero to present. Do you think Georgina liked it? She didn't like it at all and saw it as an affront to the family", declared Adriano.
During the debate, Pedro Capitão recalled yet another controversy involving Dolores Aveiro. In 2023, Cristiano Ronaldo's mother was accused of having used witchcraft to separate the player from Georgina, an accusation that she publicly denied in a statement.
At the time, Dolores stated that she would call her lawyers to defend her name and that of her family, including Georgina Rodríguez, referred to by her as “my son Cristiano Ronaldo's wife”.
Another episode often associated with rumors of tension involves a painting of Cristiano Ronaldo with his mother. According to reports, the image was in the living room of the player's house in Madrid, in the La Finca neighborhood, but it was removed after a renovation carried out by Georgina and taken to the garage. The situation would have left Dolores hurt.
